Since 1992, when established under the name of Intertrade Computers, Alterna Intertrade d.d., Ljubljana continuously act in the field of information technology and as such is, with the several years of experience and business maturity, well known and recognized as one of the leading and firm companies of that kind in Slovenia.

The basic business orientation of the company is a distribution of the computer and other, with IT connected equipment, be it hardware or software, that assures qualitative, advanced and safe information support for the Customer’s business requirements.

The Company, being the several years an important partner of IBM Central Europe, Middle East, Africa and the biggest IBM partner in Slovenia, has based from the very beginning its growth on the distribution of IBM products and sourced its high business and quality standards from that alliance and implemented and kept them also with the Lexmark products, where it achieved an outstanding second rank in the market share of the category, and, of course, with all the others products of the offered products of Lenovo, Eaton (MGE), Panasonic, Nikon, Asus, Nikon, Sony VAIO, Dicota, Apacer, Nortek and all kinds of the computer and printer supplies of most of the manufacturers, where let us outline the HP, Canon, Epson and others.

Education center “ Akademija Alterna” provides our customers certified education for all our distribution programs. We also carry some other education such as foreign languages, project management….

With its philosophy and highly capable employees, the Company is determined to assure the highest quality standards to the products, through the recognized trade-marks, which are mostly deliverable directly from the optimal stock, or can be supplied in the shortest time to its partners.

The Company is dedicated exclusively to the distribution type of business and, in principle, does not access directly to the end-user area and thus, it assures firm and long term relations with its partners, specialized for the cooperation and fulfilling the needs of the end-users.

We assure, directly or through our reliable partners, warranty and post-warranty service for our products of the highest quality level, in line with the high standards of the original manufacturers of the products.

With the special emphasis in optimising the logistic activities and economies of scale the Company assures the lowest operational costs and thus excellent competitiveness of its offer.

Alterna Intertrade d.d. is known on our domestic market as VAD distributor. Even we are not selling directly to end users, we have a team who is supporting end users with presales and after sales activities, which is by our opinion one of the key points in case of representing known brands on our market. As a part of pre sales activities we are writing technical specifications for tenders, lobbing, training end-user technical personal, taking care for localisation of the products. After sales activities are composed from : technical support, warranty and post-warranty service, consulting, training of product usage and acting as a single point of contact for all customers needs.
